GFD is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of our platform and promoting fair representation, inclusive practices, and cultural respect throughout our community.
1. Ownership Diversity Categories
As part of the onboarding process, members may voluntarily identify with one or more ownership diversity categories, including:
- Women-Owned: Majority ownership and leadership by women.
- Youth-Owned: Owned or led by individuals under the age of 30.
- Disability-Inclusive: Includes individuals with disabilities in leadership roles or the workforce.
- Minority-Owned: Owned and operated by individuals from underrepresented ethnic or cultural groups.
Participation in these categories is voluntary and self-reported. If selected, this information will be publicly displayed in the directory to showcase diversity and inclusion on a global scale.
2. GFD’s Commitment
- Equal Opportunity: GFD provides equal access and opportunities to all members, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or cultural background.
- Inclusive Representation: GFD strives to feature and support businesses from diverse ownership categories to enrich the fashion industry’s innovation and creativity.
- Cultural Sensitivity: GFD respects and values cultural differences, fostering a welcoming and respectful platform for all communities.
3. Values
GFD supports equitable access and inclusive business growth through its platform and sourcing tools. Our directory allows members to self-identify ownership diversity (e.g., women-owned, minority-owned) and encourages transparent representation. These values are also reflected in how we prioritize ethical suppliers, support underrepresented entrepreneurs, and build inclusive sourcing networks globally.
4. Member Responsibilities
- Truthful Representation: Members must provide accurate and truthful information when selecting ownership categories to maintain the integrity of the directory.
- Cultural Awareness: Members are encouraged to consider regional and cultural sensitivities when identifying with specific categories.
Misrepresentation of diversity-related information or violations of our commitment to inclusion may result in the suspension or removal of the member’s directory listing, as outlined in our Terms of Service.
Self-Representation Disclaimer: GFD relies on the information provided by Users for ownership and management diversity disclosures. GFD does not independently verify self-reported diversity information and is not responsible for any inaccuracies, omissions, or misrepresentations made by Users.
5. Public Display of Diversity Information
Ownership diversity categories are displayed publicly within the member’s directory profile. By selecting these categories, members consent to this information being visible globally as part of their public profile.
6. Monitoring and Enforcement
- GFD may periodically review selected ownership diversity categories to ensure compliance with this Policy.
- Members found to have misrepresented their ownership diversity information may face corrective actions, including suspension or removal from the directory.
7. Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Compliance
GFD complies with all applicable United States federal and state non-discrimination laws, including Title VI and Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Age Discrimination Act. GFD prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs, activities, and membership. Access to the GFD platform is available on an equal-opportunity basis, regardless of geographic location.
8. Policy Updates This Policy will be periodically reviewed and updated to reflect evolving industry standards and best practices. Members will be notified of significant changes.
